F. Scott Fitzgerald House

Baltimore became home to F. Scott Fitzgerald at an influential period of his life: after his wife, Zelda, fell ill. Although Fitzgerald's Bolton Hill home is not open to the public, visitors can still see the enchanting exterior, ornamented with a blue plaque dedicated in his honor.

Local brewer, Raven Beer, has honored Baltimore author Edgar Allan Poe with specially crafted brews. The George Peabody Library

Built in 1866, The George Peabody Library at Johns Hopkins University is commonly recognized as one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. The central atrium features 61 foot high walls lined with five tiers of cast-iron balconies held high by gold-scalloped columns. Rows of tightly packed books lead to a stunning glass ceiling.
